The Preparation
- Step one:
- Customer consultation
- Measurement of home envelope with inclusion of windows, doors, and insulation.
- Measurement of existing exposed duct-work and registers.
- Measurement of Existing Space Restraints for system location.
- Measurement of Current Static Pressure if current system is operational.
- Step two:
- Perform Load Calculation for proper sizing of New Equipment.
- Evaluate current duct-work base on measurements and current static pressures.
- Step three:
- Select Proper Size Equipment that meets the Load Calculation to ACCA standards.
- Select Equipment that is the proper size but will also fit within the Existing Space Restraints.
- Make any initial recommendations for duct-work changes necessary for new equipment.
- Select any accessories that would benefit the customer.
- Step four:
- Prepare Proposal for customer with several options of Equipment.
- Allow customer to choose which option in proposal is best for them.
The Installation
- Install the system according to manufacturer instructions while following local codes and laws.
- Perform a total equipment start-up and verify everything is operation within Manufacturer specifications.
- Let customer know of any deficiencies still seen in existing components or duct-work.
- Walk customer thru operation of new equipment and what to expect from new system.
